John Whippy Foundation Celebrates A Successful Pier2Pier Charity Walk

On Sunday 27th April 2025, the John Whippy Foundation proudly held their annual charity walk with the Pier2Pier challenge, raising an incredible £1,865 to support sick, disadvantaged, and disabled children living in East Sussex. 

The event saw our brilliant team of fundraisers walk 26km (approximately 16 miles), setting off at 9:00am and arriving at our final destination at 3:15pm. The sun was shining, making for a hot but uplifting day and the walk was topped off with a well-deserved drink at The Pig to celebrate everyone's fantastic efforts.

We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who took part and donated. Special thanks go to:

Margaret, who raised an amazing £175

Gill Speed, who raised £240

Tara and Gemma, who together raised £112.06

Sam Beale and Maria Atherden, who raised over £100

We also give special thanks to Paul Britton, Phil Markhem, David Millen, Dina Redman, Ewelina Kwasniewska, Magdalena Yadav, Keith Molineux, Jake Franks, David Roberts and more for raising money and walking with us on the day.

A heartfelt thank you also goes out to everyone else who donated, walked, and cheered us on your support is truly making a difference.

We were very grateful to The Relais Cooden Beach Hotel for hosting us during our mid-walk break. Their warm hospitality gave everyone the energy boost they needed to reach the finish!

Thank you once again to everyone for your incredible support. Together, we are helping to create brighter futures for children who need it most. 💙
